Organic Red Wine Šoster Royal Red – Prekmurje, Slovenia

Deep ruby color with a slight violet hue, reflecting the extended skin contact during the 10-day maceration. The nose opens with dark forest berries - blackcurrant, blackberry, and ripe cherry - supported by subtle herbal tones typical of Sauvignon Cortis. Oak maturation for six months contributes layered notes of sweet spice, toasted wood, and a hint of vanilla.

On the palate the wine is medium-to-full bodied with structured yet approachable tannins. Flavors of dark plum, wild berries, and gentle spice are complemented by balanced acidity, providing freshness and length. The oak influence remains integrated rather than dominant, adding texture and complexity. The finish is persistent, showing a combination of ripe fruit and a touch of earthy minerality. Drinking window: now through the next 5 years. 

Suitable for pairing with roasted meats, game dishes, grilled vegetables, and aged cheeses. Serving temperature: 15-18 °C.
